Lauren Tully
Dr. Lauren Tully was born and spent most of her childhood in Brooklyn, NY. Despite living in a big city, she was drawn to animals large and small from a young age and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian.
Dr. Tully graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York with an undergraduate degree in Animal Science and then went on to obtain her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the same university in 1994. She completed an internship in equine medicine at a private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia and a residency in anesthesia at the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada.
While picking up some relief shifts at an animal emergency clinic, Dr. Tully discovered a passion for emergency medicine and has worked in that field for most of her 30 year career. For the last 5 years, she has worked in general practice at the Southwest Texas Veterinary Medical Center in Uvalde, Texas.
Having grown tired of the long, cold winters in the Northeast, she and her husband and two children left upstate NY and traveled by RV through the country. They fell in love with the hill country of Texas and have been here for 7 years. She lives with her husband, 2 teenagers, 12 cows, 6 horses, 3 dogs and a cat in Sabinal (long way from Brooklyn!).
Dr. Tully is very excited to be returning to the emergency / urgent care side of veterinary medicine. She will bring her extended experience in emergency medicine and general practice to provide care to pets experiencing both minor and major emergencies.
