Dr. Stephen Spence earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Veterinary Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst before traveling to Dublin, Ireland, where he received his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin in 2013.

Following veterinary school, Dr. Spence practiced as an emergency veterinarian in Los Angeles, California for several years. He then relocated to San Antonio, Texas, where he completed a one-year surgical internship followed by a three-year surgical residency at BluePearl Stone Oak.

Dr. Spence enjoys a wide variety of surgical cases and has a special interest in orthopedics and fracture management. Outside of the hospital, he enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, Star Wars, and spending time with his wife, three children, and two dogs, Padme and Finn.
