She attended Spelman College for her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2014. Dr. Rose received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2018, followed by a 1 year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Tampa, Florida. She then completely a 1 year surgical internship at MedVet in New Orleans, Louisiana, followed by completion of a 3-year residency in small animal surgery at Long Island Veterinary Partners in 2024.
Dr. Rose has always been fascinated by the evolving field of veterinary surgery, with special interest in soft tissue surgeries. She finds emergency abdominal procedures to be the most thrilling, knowing that the skills she possesses can be the saving grace for so many pets and their people.
During her off time, Dr. Rose enjoys trying new restaurants, indulging in true crime documentaries and practicing her violin. She currently has one fur baby, a tuxedo cat named Paisley, but is planning to adopt a puppy soon. Mostly, she looks forward to exploring all that San Antonio has to offer.
